As someone who loves art and cares deeply about how it arrives to you, the idea of rolling a print makes my heart sink a little. But when it comes to art prints larger than A4, tubes are genuinely the best option for keeping your print safe in transit.
Why Tubes for Larger Prints?
Flat packaging for larger prints carries a real risk of bending, creasing, or damage during handling. Tubes, on the other hand, provide a rigid, protective structure that keeps your print secure from the studio to your door.
How We Pack Your Print
We take extra care with every order. Here's exactly what happens before your print goes into its tube:
- Your print is carefully placed onto a sheet of acid-free tissue paper — this is important, as acid-free materials won't degrade or discolour your print over time.
- The print is then gently rolled together with the tissue paper, which acts as a protective layer and prevents any surface contact or friction during transit.
How to Unroll Your Print
When your print arrives, we recommend unrolling it carefully and allowing it to rest flat for a short while before framing. You can place it face-down under a few books to help it relax if needed.
